The Statistical Modeler will be responsible for the development of predictive models and analytical processes that will drive more efficient and effective direct marketing campaigns for client’s Global Small and Medium Business organization.
The Statistical Modeler will have a strong command of statistical modeling and the use of quantitative analysis in a business setting.
Responsibility
• Conduct rigorous analysis that will help change the business
• Turn business problems into analytic projects with well defined deliverables
• Be able to effectively communicate the results and insights of the analyses to business partners and management team
• Apply quantitative methods including regression, logistic regression, cluster analysis, time series analysis, forecasting, and simulation techniques
• Develop predictive models to support direct marketing campaigns for catalog, direct mail, and email marketing
• Validate models prior to implementation and evaluate model performance after implementation
• Develop analytic solutions in the areas of customer lifetime value, segmentation, direct marketing targeting, pricing, and media mix modeling
• Design and analyze statistically valid direct marketing tests
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and be able to meet deadlines and effectively set expectations
Education/Skills
• Advanced degree (MS or PhD.) in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics or Economics
• A minimum of 3 years experience developing predictive models, preferably in a direct marketing environment
• Experience with a broad range of statistical techniques, including regression, logistic regression, cluster analysis, segmentation, time series analysis, forecasting, and experimental test design
• Strong SAS and SQL skills
• Experience working with large datasets
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment
• B-to-B experience is a plus
Additional Exp/ Skills:
• Experience of Media Mix modeling
• Ability to do statistical test design, sample size estimates, and significance testing
